Carolina. Daryl studies drawing and painting at Northern Kentucky

"My paintings
come from a need to articulate the quiet beauty of the Lowcountry of
South Carolina. I paint landscapes which are relatively undisturbed by
man, scenes that to me are compelling in their austerity. I think that
my paintings reveal more about me and how I view the marshes and
creeks than any specific place that I paint. I am perpetually awed by
the colors, textures, and patterns that exist in nature."
